Brady Cook has taken his lumps as Mizzou’s quarterback. But he’s playing well in 2023 and has been able to get the ball to Mizzou’s talented receivers.

He also has done an outstanding job taking care of the ball. Possession is a team like Mizzou’s best friend, and no one has been better in SEC history at not throwing interceptions.

In the second quarter at Vanderbilt on Saturday, Cook recorded his 326th pass attempt in a row without a pick, breaking an SEC record held by Andre Woodson of Kentucky, who had his 325-pass streak without an INT in 2006 and 2007.

Cook and the Tigers took a 17-7 lead into halftime against the Commodores. How long can Cook keep his streak alive? We’ll see if he can get to 350 or even 400. If he does, it’ll bode well for the Tigers, who need to take care of the football as they try to remain unbeaten on the season.
