Eli Drinkwitz received a new contract in recent days, and details have emerged about the Missouri coach’s compensation in future years.

Drinkwitz’s salary increases from $4 million to $6 million next year under his new contract with incremental raises each year through 2027, Dave Matter of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported.

Missouri last week also signed defensive coordinator Blake Baker to a contract extension. Drinkwitz originally signed a contract through the 2025 season upon his arrival in 2019.

Drinkwitz is 15-17 at Missouri in just under 3 seasons. Heโ€™s 10-14 overall in SEC play. This season, the Tigers are 4-5 and 2-4 in the SEC. All 4 SEC losses have been by 1 possession.

After Saturday’s loss to Kentucky, Drinkwitz discussed the new deal.

โ€œI know todayโ€™s loss is disappointing,โ€ Drinkwitz said after the 21-17 defeat to the Wildcats, โ€œbut itโ€™s the belief in how weโ€™re doing it and the direction that weโ€™re going, and really appreciate that belief. Beliefโ€™s a powerful thing, and I talked about it a couple of weeks (ago), I really feel like weโ€™ve improved in a lot of ways, and the results will come.โ€
