According to PowerMizzou’s Gabe DeArmond, former Texas DT Jordan Elliott is transferring to Missouri.

Elliott is a sophomore, and he won’t be eligible until 2018. He played in six games in 2016, making eight tackles. Elliott was rated as a 4-star prospect, the nation’s No. 14 DT and the No. 18 overall player in the state of Texas for the class of 2016, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Elliott made his intention to transfer from Texas known on May 18, and he received his release from the program on May 24.

Elliott released the following tweets before DeArmond could confirm he was transferring to Columbia.

The Houston, Texas, native is listed at 6-foot-4, 318 pounds and is a great addition to Missouri’s team. When eligible in ’18, he should make an instant impact.
