Missouri sells out SEC Championship ticket allotment
During Sunday’s teleconference, Missouri head coach Gary Pinkel was asked about how he thought the Missouri fans would travel to the SEC Championship, considering attendance was a bit of an issue throughout the season at Faurot Field.
Pinkel wasn’t sure what to expect.
“I have no idea, hopefully we’re going to have a great turnaround,” he said. “Our fans have been traveling in the SEC as good as anybody in the league and hopefully we’ll have a good turnout.”
Well, they didn’t disappoint.
According to Missouri’s Deputy Athletic Director, Doug Gillin, the Tigers sold their ticket allotment for the SEC Championship in an hour.

Not only is this encouraging news for Missouri in terms of attendance, but it’ll be good news for the players as well. Alabama fans are notorious for traveling well, especially to the SEC Championship.
With the odds already stacked against Missouri, neutralizing any sort of crowd advantage is crucial for the Tigers.
According to the SEC’s official website, the SEC Championship is already sold out.
