Mizzou and Memphis are squaring off in a “neutral-site game” on Saturday night at The Dome in St. Louis.

I put “neutral-site game” in quotation marks, as St. Louis is overwhelmingly Mizzou country, and the fans in attendance reflect that.

But making any fans watch games at The Dome is a bad move, as it looks like it hasn’t been taken care of since the Rams left for Los Angeles.

Let’s just say many fans who are watching the game on TV had a lot to say about the optics of the turf on social media. Here’s a sampling of that reaction:

Mizzou used to play Illinois in an annual rivalry game at The Dome. But if the turf is going to look like this moving forward, it might be worth it to look into using Busch Stadium as a venue.

If college football games can be played at Wrigley Field, Busch should have plenty of room.
