The Missouri Tigers have landed a quality defensive back via the transfer portal.

Toriano Pride Jr., previously of Clemson, took to social media to reveal his decision to commit to the Missouri Tigers.

Pride was listed as the No. 1 corner in the transfer portal according to 247Sports. The defensive back was originally listed as a 4-star prospect per the 247Sports Composite ranking. Pride starred for East Saint Louis Senior High School in Illinois. The defensive back stands at 5’11” and weighs 190 pounds. Pride is just the latest player from the St. Louis area to commit to the Tigers.

Pride originally committed to the Clemson Tigers and ended up playing 26 games for the Tigers over 2 seasons. During that time, the corner collected 37 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, 9 pass breakups, and 1 interception.

The Tigers could certainly use reinforcements in the secondary. Kris Abrams-Draine and Ennis Rakestraw Jr. likely will not be back, as both defensive backs have been invited to the Reese’s Senior Bowl. Jaylon Carlies, Joseph Charleston, and Marcus Clarke are also seniors, so the Tigers need to add some younger talent to the room.

Pride is the first transfer portal addition made by the Tigers this offseason.
