Mizzou on Saturday saw one of its freshman cornerbacks opt to enter the transfer portal.

Jaren Sensabaugh, a former 4-star recruit out of the class of 2024, announced his decision via a post on X. Saturday marked the final day for Tigers players to enter the portal as the 5-day window following their bowl game is set to close.

“Thank you Mizzou for the opportunity to compete in the SEC,” he wrote. “As for my family and I, we feel it is in my best interest to explore other opportunities.”

Sensabaugh was considered a top 25 cornerback recruit in the class of 2024 and the No. 8 player in the state of Tennessee, according to 247Sports’ composite ranking. He redshirted his first — and only — season in Columbia while seeing action in just 1 game.

While it lost a member of its defensive backfield in Sensabaugh, Mizzou gained one on Saturday as former Washington State DB Stephen Hall committed from the transfer portal. Hall will have 1 year of eligibility remaining. As for Sensabaugh, his decision to enter the portal makes him the 6th to do so from the Tigers’ 2024 recruiting class.

The Tigers defeated Iowa, 24-20, in Monday’s Music City Bowl.
