Appalachian State assistant following Eliah Drinkwitz to Mizzou

Coaches hired in December face the daunting task of trying to fill out a signing class of recruits while also solidifying the new coaching staff. As one might expect, new Mizzou coach Eliah Drinkwitz will likely have a staff made up of assistants familiar with him along with those familiar with MU.
Pete Thamel of Yahoo Sports reports, per a source, that Appalachian State special teams coordinator Erik Link will follow Drinkwitz to Columbia.
The news follows a recent report that Drinkwitz is keeping three Missouri defensive assistants: defensive coordinator/safeties coach Ryan Walters, defensive line coach Brick Haley and defensive backs coach David Gibbs.
Link and Drinkwitz were both members of Auburn’s 2010 staff. Link returned to AU in 2013 as a special teams/offensive analyst.
Source: Erik Link will be the new specials teams coordinator at Missouri. He worked in the same role under Eliah Drinkwitz at Appalachian State.
