The Missouri Tigers have been very streaky under head coach Barry Odom the past 3 years. Normally, the season has started with a long losing streak before finishing with several wins.

However, this year, the script flipped, and the Tigers started 5-1 before finishing 6-6. After a win over Arkansas to finish the season on Saturday (as the Tigers are banned from postseason play due to a controversial NCAA ruling), Mizzou reached a decision on Odom’s future.

Per Gabe DeArmond, Odom has been fired by the Tigers:

In his 4 years at the helm of the program, Odom finished with an even 25-25 record. He went 13-19 in SEC play and 0-2 in bowl games.

Where the Tigers turn next remains to be seen, but the search process will be an interesting one to follow.
