This week was supposed to be an easy one for the Missouri Tigers, who have a bye before traveling to take on Kentucky next weekend.

However, after losing a 2018 commit on Saturday morning, the news got much, much worse, as it has been reported that star sophomore WR Dimetrios Mason has left the team.

According to PowerMizzou.com, Mason is no longer a member of the Tigers and there is no possibility of having him return.

According to STLToday.com, Mason was dismissed from the team for disciplinary reasons.

That is a huge blow to the Tigers, as Mason burst onto the scene as a true freshman last year, catching 47 passes for 587 yards and seven touchdowns. So far this year, he has 13 catches for 119 yards and has served as one of the primary kickoff returners.

Mason played in the Tigers’ loss to Auburn last Saturday, so it is not yet clear as to when he was dismissed from the team.

However, more information is sure to come out in the coming days, so we’ll have to wait and see what coach Barry Odom says about the departure of one of the team’s rising young stars.
