Smokin’ Drew Lock? Mizzou QB enjoys comparisons to former Vandy, NFL QB Jay Cutler

There are a lot of NFL comparisons out there for Mizzou QB Drew Lock — from Detroit’s Matthew Stafford to Denver’s Joe Flacco.
With a chance to go No. 10 overall to the Denver Broncos on Thursday night during the 2019 NFL Draft, Lock was asked about a former Broncos quarterback — ex-Vanderbilt QB Jay Cutler.
As you can see in the video below, Lock says he’d gladly accept any comparisons to Cutler and his cannon of a right arm:

“Jay’s the man,” he said with a laugh. “Jay had an absolute rifle on him. I talk about my backup (QB at Mizzou) being such an influential person in my life. He’s literally said since Day 1 that I was a Jay Cutler guy. The hair, a little bit. I’m a little sarcastic. I know Jay’s pretty sarcastic. To be compared to a guy with an arm like Jay’s — by all means, I love it.”
Will Lock get a chance to follow in Cutler’s footsteps in Denver? We’ll find out in a matter of hours.
