Loading your BetMGM Gift Card Online
Now that you have purchased your BetMGM gift card, the next step is to load it into your account.
The steps are pretty simple.
- Go to your Account page. If you’re on the app, it’s the bottom right icon on the home screen.
- Click on “Deposit”
- Choose “Other Deposit Method” to be taken to a screen with options.
- Look for “Prepaid/Gift Card” with an image of the BetMGM Gift Card Powered by TAPPP.
- You will be taken to a screen where you enter your pin that needs to be revealed on the back of your gift card.
- Once the code is entered, BetMGM will confirm the amount, including the bonus value.
- Click “Deposit” to complete the transaction.
That’s all it takes to input your gift card funds into your BetMGM Casino account.
BetMGM Gift Card Bonus Details
Most of the available BetMGM gift cards come with an added bonus value.
The $50 gift cards contain a $5 bonus, while the $100 card features a $10 bonus.
Now, that sounds nice, but there’s some important information to know about these bonuses.
These bonuses carry a 15x wagering requirement for the online casino. That’s not a great value, as it means you need to make $75 in wagers for the $5 bonus and $150 in wagers to clear the $10 bonus. That’s not likely to happen and is going to likely eat into your gift card funds trying to clear it.
While you have 7 days to clear the bonus, it’s still not an ideal bonus to try and conquer.
One option is to clear the bonus through sports betting. BetMGM requires just $25 in sports wagers to clear the $5 bonus and $50 in wagers to clear the $10 bonus.
The other option is to “Drop” the bonus. This means you can opt-out of the bonus and its wagering requirement. You will forfeit the $5 or $10 bonus, but then won’t have to worry about meeting any wagering requirement and can begin using the fund you deposited from the gift card. It’s not too complicated to complete this task:
- Visit the Bonus Page on your account. You will see any ongoing offers and your progress.
- Look for “Drop Bonus” icon next to the current offer.
- You will receive a message asking if you are sure you want to forfeit the bonus. If you click “Yes” the action can’t be undone, so make sure you’re comfortable losing the bonus dollars.
Tips for Using a BetMGM Gift Card
Now that you know where you can find a BetMGM gift card and how to use it, there are a few other key things to remember.
- Whatever the gift card’s value, there are no wagering requirements tied to them. If you purchase a $50 gift card, that’s yours and can do with as you like. Same for $100. It’s any attached bonus that you have to deal with additional criteria.
- You can’t make a withdrawal onto a BetMGM gift card. Should you have winnings you want to remove, you’ll still need another casino banking option.
- BetMGM gift cards aren’t great options for using with the BetMGM Casino bonus code offer. It’s got a limited deposit amount, so you’d be short-changing your first deposit match.
