West Virginia Online Casino Revenue Falls to $36.4 Million In July

West Virginia online casinos began a new Fiscal Year with $36.4 million in July revenue.

This was the lowest revenue month for West Virginia online casinos thus far in 2026, and a 4.9% drop from June’s $38.3 million in revenue.

Not all is bad news, though, as last month still was up 24.7% compared to July 2025’s $29.2 million in revenue.

How June’s WV Online Casino Revenue is Tabulated

The West Virginia Lottery releases weekly revenue reports on iGaming through their website, so there are not clear-cut monthly totals, but you can get a good approximation of how things are.

Reports are slotted by the ending of each week, Here’s how each looked in June.

• First Four Days of July: $5,167,139
• Week Ending July 11: $8,351,210
• Week Ending July 18: $7,203,063
• Week Ending July 25: $8,104,573
• Week Ending August 1: $8,863,300 ($7,597,114 avg. over six days)
• Total: $36,423,099

The week ending August 1 was done by average, so that is why we say the monthly total was approximately $36.4 million. The first four days of July began a new fiscal year for West Virginia, so that revenue total was left on its own and accurate.

With the 15% tax rate on the revenue, $5.5 million was generated for the state through July’s online casino play.

2026 Revenue Pushing Toward $470 Million

While July was a revenue low in 2026, it’s still a strong year for WV online casinos. Two new monthly revenue records were set in the winter before things slowed down in the summer.

• January: $41.7 million
• February: $37.1 million
• March: $42.0 million (current monthly record)
• April: $38.3 million
• May: $39.5 million
• June: $38.3 million
• July: $36.4 million

For the year, West Virginia has generated $273.3 million in online casino revenue. That is an average of about $39 million per month.

Should that continue, it would push WV iGaming revenue to about $470 million.

By comparison, Fiscal Year 2025/26 revenue closed out in June at $439.2 million.

Either way, the Mountaineer State will easily set a new yearly revenue record in 2026.

Expect New Records In 2026

While July was a low point for the year, it’s commonly one of the lowest revenue months for legal iGaming states.

Over the last five months, you can expect a bit of a boost in revenue, and will likely see one or multiple new monthly revenue records.

Consider last July came in at $29.2 million. Here’s how the remainder of 2025 looked.

• August 2025: $32.8 million
• September: $34.2 million
• October: $34.7 million
• November: $37.1 million
• December: $35.9 million

Prior to January and March the monthly revenue record was November’s $37.1 million. As you can see each month over the end of 2025 after July was well ahead of the $29.2 million that month produced.

Look for West Virginia to push for $44-45 million in monthly revenue by the end of 2026.
