The opening weekend of college baseball has come and gone. It was a great showing for several SEC squads, as 9 squads still have perfect records entering Monday.
After the exciting opening weekend festivities, D1Baseball has updated its top 25 rankings. To the surprise of no one, the SEC is well-represented, placing 9 teams in the top 25, including 6 in the top 10.
The only SEC team with a sub-.500 record coming out of the first weekend of the 2025 season is Mizzou, as the Tigers are currently 1-2 overall. Everyone else in the league is at least .500.
Here’s a look at where the 9 ranked teams stand in the updated D1Baseball top 25:
- No. 1 — Texas A&M (3-0)
- No. 3 — LSU (3-0)
- No. 4 — Tennessee (3-0)
- No. 5 — Arkansas (3-0)
- No. 8 — Georgia (3-1)
- No. 10 — Florida (3-0)
- No. 15 — Vanderbilt (2-1)
- No. 16 — Texas (2-1)
- No. 18 — Mississippi State (3-0)
Check out the full top 25 rankings here. The only non-SEC team to make it in the top 5 was No. 2 Virginia.
On Monday’s slate, 3-0 Arkansas takes on 0-3 Washington State at 1 p.m. ET. Tuesday’s slate features 13 exciting midweek matchups. Stay tuned, as the season is just getting started!
