Ashton Crowther has found a new home in the SEC.

Crowther spent this past season at South Carolina. In late June, he elected to enter the transfer portal. Now, Crowther is heading to Alabama to continue his college baseball career.

Crowther is entering Year 4 of his college career. A Trinity, Florida native, he spent his first 2 academic years at Miami. He joined South Carolina ahead of the 2025 season.

Listed as a 6-3, 220-pound left-hander on the South Carolina roster, Crowther made 19 appearances with 2 starts for the Gamecocks. He posted a 4.38 ERA on the season, bringing that down to a 3.05 ERA in SEC play.

Over 37 innings pitched in 2025, Crowther managed 28 strikeouts. He posted a similar rate of 28 Ks in 36.2 IP at Miami in 2024 as a redshirt freshman.
