With spring finally in full bloom the college baseball regular season is entering it’s full stride, and the nation’s top conference is once again shaping up to be the SEC with 10 squads from the league occupying spots in the D1Baseball top 25.
The Auburn Tigers and Arkansas Razorbacks entered their weekend series ranked right next to each other at No. 18 and No. 17 with both squads looking to get a massive leg up in both the SEC and national pecking order heading into the home stretch of their respective regular season slates.

The Tigers and Hogs split the first 2 games of the series, with Auburn taking game 1 on Thursday and Arkansas evening things up in round 2 on Friday, but Auburn came out on top in the rubber match to take the series in a dominant 8-3 showing.
The bats were on fire for the Tigers as 2 Auburn hitters left the yard and 3 others recorded doubles, while sophomore Ace Alex Petrovic got the win on the bump after firing 5 innings of 3 run ball.
This served as a much-needed rebound for the Tigers after suffering 6 losses in their prior 7 games entering the weekend, a stretch the included a devastating sweep at the hands of hated rival Alabama.
Auburn once again has life in the SEC race as they head into the heart of their conference schedule, while Arkansas has been put behind the 8-ball moving forward.
