After a disastrous opener, Auburn recovered to win the Auburn Regional and advance to the Super Regional round of the NCAA Tournament. The Tigers successfully won 4 games over 3 days, with the season on the line all 4 times. AU secured the Auburn Regional win with an 8-3 victory over Milwaukee on Monday night.
โThis was the hardest, most rewarding thing that weโve been through for me personally,โ Auburn coach Butch Thompson said after the game. โThey found a way. Chase (Fralick) was just amazing, both offensively and defensively. I give the players a ton of credit. They laid it on the line for us and were tremendous.โ
Fralick, the Auburn Regional MVP, hit a key home run to break a 2-2 tie and put Auburn in front. It was his 6th homer of the Regional, a program record, over the 5 games from Friday-Monday. He collected 15 RBIs in the Regional.

Thompson turned to pitchers on Monday. Jake Marciano, the Auburn ace chased in Game 1, pitched the first 4 innings. He struck out 6, allowing 2 earned runs.
Jackson Sanders handled the next 5 innings. He struck out 8 while allowing just 1 run on 3 hits.
The Auburn Regional was paired with the Lincoln Regional in the NCAA Tournament bracket. The Auburn Super Regional will feature a best-of-3 series between Ole Miss and No. 4 national seed Auburn. The teams did not play during the 2026 regular season or the SEC Tournament.
