It’s transfer portal season in college baseball. Georgia enjoyed its best season yet under Wes Johnson in 2026 by making the College World Series, and the Bulldogs are building a roster to return to Omaha next year.

On Saturday, UGA added an experienced outfielder to its 2027 roster. Utah transfer Jet Gilliam announced his transfer commitment to the Dawgs on social media.

Listed at 6-feet, 190 pounds, and originally from Henderson, Nevada, Gilliam will be a senior in 2027. He began his career at Southern Nevada in 2024.

For 2025, Gilliam transferred to NC State. He used the portal to head back west in 2026, joining the Utes for his junior season.

At Utah, Gilliam played in 51 games, making 50 starts. The stat that jumps off the page with Gilliam is his .362 batting average. With 27 walks and 4 HBPs to go with his 68 hits, Gilliam had an on-base percentage of .446. He slugged .500, hitting 6 home runs and 8 doubles and collecting 36 RBIs on the year.

Gilliam was named an All-Big 12 Honorable Mention as a centerfielder for the 2026 season. He played error-free defense, logging 144 putouts.
