Georgia baseball lands commitment from Oregon transfer slugger

Naulivou Lauaki Jr. has found a home in the SEC. The Oregon transfer is heading to Georgia.
Lauaki shared the news in a social media announcement on Monday. His commitment days after he teased a final 3 of Georgia, Florida and Texas A&M.

Landing Lauaki’s commitment is a big win in the portal for defending SEC champion Georgia.
Lauaki is entering Year 3 of his college career. The Oregon roster lists him as a 6-5, 265-pound right-handed pitcher and infielder.
Out of Springville (Utah) High School, Lauaki was rated as one of the top pitching prospects in the state. He did not pitch in a Ducks game during his two seasons at Oregon, but plans to pitch for UGA.

Lauaki gives the Dawgs a big bat for 2027. In 41 games, Lauaki logged 134 at-bats. He slashed .321/.370/.687, collected 37 RBIs. He had 43 hits and also reached base on 7 walks and 4 HBPs. Lauaki’s impressive slugging numbers come from 14 home runs and 7 doubles.
