LSU continues to build its lead in the annual College World Series Jello shot competition hosted at Rocco’s each June.

As of late Monday night, Rocco’s reports that LSU’s total for the weekend is now over 17,000 Jello shots. The next closest fan base is Murray State, but the Racers’ total is just over 7,000 — a full 10,000 fewer than the Tigers so far.

As Rocco’s notes in the official leaderboard update, these totals have certainly been boosted by a rain delay that occurred on Monday evening. LSU vs. UCLA was suspended during the third inning and is scheduled to resume at 11 a.m. ET on Tuesday morning.

Thanks in part to the rain delay, LSU fans ordered over 4,000 shots since the 10 p.m. update on Sunday night. Here’s the official leaderboard update from Rocco’s:

It could be a long day for LSU fans in Omaha. If the Tigers lose their suspended game vs. UCLA on Tuesday morning, LSU would then return for an elimination game against Arkansas on Tuesday evening. A win for LSU vs. the Bruins would mean they don’t see the field again until Wednesday night against either Arkansas or UCLA.

Rocco’s will release another update close to 12 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon.
