Andrew Raymond is leaving Mississippi State after one season. The Bulldog catcher is entering the transfer portal, his representative told Andrew Riedell of College Baseball Central.
The portal is open, but Raymond’s timing is curious. His decision may turn some heads, as No. 14 overall seed MSU is gearing up to face No. 3 national seed Georgia in a best-of-3 series for a spot in the College World Series. The Athens Super Regional begins Saturday at 11 a.m. ET.
