Oklahoma State has stunned Georgia, walking it off in Athens to eliminate the No. 7 national seed from the NCAA Tournament.

Though UGA is hosting the Athens Regional, Oklahoma State was the home team in Sunday’s elimination game. The Bulldogs took a 9-7 lead into the bottom of the 9th.

Nolan Schubart drew a leadoff walk. Kollin Ritchie then kept OSU’s season alive with a 2-run home run to right field, tying the game 9-9.

Georgia was shellshocked, but the Cowboys kept their eyes on the prize. After the tying homer and a UGA pitching change, Colin Brueggermann singled up the middle. Ian Daugherty then struck out signing. The Bulldogs were oh so close to getting out of the inning and getting to swing the bats again, but were unable to turn a double play.

Brock Thompson came up and ended it with a walk-off 2-run homer for an 11-9 victory.

Oklahoma State will now face Duke. The Blue Devils need to win 1 game to advance to Super Regionals, while OSU would have to win twice.
