Tennessee baseball rallies to down Oklahoma in OKC

The 24th-ranked Tennessee baseball team overcame an early deficit to down 20th-ranked Oklahoma 9-7 on Thursday night to begin their SEC series at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark in Oklahoma City.
Tennessee (36-18 overall, 14-14 SEC) can lock up the season-ending SEC series with a victory Friday night (7:30 pm ET, SEC Network+). Oklahoma (31-19, 13-15) absorbed its first neutral-site loss of the season after four neutral-site wins earlier in 2026.

Although Oklahoma out-hit Tennessee 17-7 on Thursday night, the Volunteers took full advantage of 11 free passes issued by the Sooners โ nine walks and two hit batsmen. Six of Tennesseeโs seven hits came with runners on base, with four occurring with runners in scoring position. Henry Ford, Levi Clark and Manny Marin each drove in two runs and combined to draw four walks.
Kyle Branch hit a two-run homer and Jason Walk added a solo shot for Texas, who saw every position player record a hit. Camden Johnson went 3-for-5 for the Longhorns, while Walk, Branch, Deiten Lachane, Jaxon Willits. Brendan Brock and Dasan Harris each added two hits.
Tegan Kuhns (5-4) scattered 12 hits and struck out five over five innings to earn the victory. Oklahoma reliever Nick Wesloski (0-1) absorbed the loss.
