Troy isn’t an SEC school, but this is just too cool not to share.
Well, for everyone apart from Florida fans, perhaps.
The Troy Trojans are heading to the College World Series for the first time in program history after sweeping Little Rock at the Troy Super Regional. Troy downed Little Rock 12-2 on Friday and finished things up Saturday with a 7-2 win.
The Trojans did it with some style, too. Here’s a look at the double play that punched Troy’s ticket to Omaha:

It’s impossible to talk about this Troy team without mentioning one of the best stories in college baseball, Jabe Boroff. “Jabe Ruth” has been absolutely sensational this past month after recording just 12 hits and averaging .174 heading into the Trojans’ elimination game against Rider in the Gainesville Regional. He’s had the hottest bat in the field since, mashing 6 home runs — including 2 on Friday against Little Rock.
Something to note about the Trojans: Boroff wasn’t as red-hot on Saturday, striking out twice with 2 walks. Even then, the Trojans were able to cruise to a 7-2 win.
Troy will face off against West Virginia to start things off in Omaha.
Look out, Mountaineers.
