Alabama basketball has landed a key commitment for the Class of 2026. 4-star small forward Tarris Bouie has committed to the Crimson Tide, according to several reports.

The 6-foot-5 product out of Ohio chose Alabama over other offers including from Mississippi State, Cincinnati, Marquette, and Georgetown. Bouie, who is rated as the No. 52 overall prospect in the Class of 2026 according to On3, emulates his game after a couple of NBA stars.

“I’m a three-level scorer,” Bouie said via Rivals in a past interview. “I rebound, I defend, and try to get my teammates open. Really I try to do anything that helps my team win. I’m getting stronger and I can see that I am jumping higher now, playing more athletic. I watch a lot of Kevin Durant with his mid-range game and Paul George with his pace.”

Bouie is the second top-50 commit in the Class of 2026 for Alabama after 4-star small forward Chris Washington Jr. committed on Monday.

It’s an impressive accomplishment on the recruiting trail for head coach Nate Oats, who in the last 2 seasons has guided Alabama to the Final Four (2024) and Elite Eight (2025). Oats also took the Crimson Tide to the Sweet 16 in 2021 and 2023.
