After making it to the Sweet 16 in John Calipari’s first season at the helm, expectations are high for Arkansas going into the 2025-26 campaign. Now that the Razorbacks’ non-conference schedule has been released, it’s evident that they’ll be heavily tested from the jump.
Arkansas will take on every team that reached the Elite Eight as well as 18 squads that reached the NCAA Tournament from last year, including 9 conference champions and 22 teams that had 20+ victories last season.
Arkansas tips off the regular season on Nov. 3 vs. Southern and then heads to Michigan State on Nov. 8. Other notable non-conference matchups include Nov. 27 vs. Duke in Chicago, Dec. 3 vs. Louisville, Dec. 13 vs. Texas Tech and Dec. 20 vs. Houston in Newark, NJ.
Arkansas defeated Kansas 79-72 and St. John’s 76-66 before falling to Texas Tech in the Sweet 16 last season. It was Arkansas’ second trip to the Sweet 16 in the last 3 seasons. The reliable Razorbacks have been to the NCAA Tournament 9 times since the 2013-14 season.
The 66-year-old Calipari is a 3-time Naismith College Coach of the Year and was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2015.
