Coming out of the Link Academy in Branson, Missouri, Thompson is originally from Bolingbrook, Illinois. Listed at 6-2, 170 pounds, Thompson is rated 5-stars, the No. 1 recruit in Missouri, No. 5 point guard and No. 22 prospect overall in the Class of 2027 on the 247Sports Composite. Thompson is reportedly considering reclassifying to 2026, and will make a final decision after the Nike Peach Jam (July 14-19).

Thompson has picked up 19 scholarship offers during his recruitment. He narrowed it down to Arkansas, Vanderbilt, Baylor and Michigan for Wednesday’s big decision.

“Coach Cal has done it with so many guards before me. I believe he can help me reach my goals,” Thompson told Joe Tipton of Rivals about his decision to commit to Arkansas.
