John Calipari is doing work in the transfer portal to build Arkansas’s 2025-26 roster.
The latest addition for the Razorbacks is a big one, literally. Florida State forward Malique Ewin is heading to Fayetteville to continue his college basketball career.
Last week, Ewin narrowed things down to a final 5 of Arkansas, Kansas, Auburn, Virginia and Mississippi State. Ewin indicated that the style of play pitch won him over to come to Arkansas.
"I believe it is a great fit because the style of play,” Ewin said. “They way they play. He was telling me it was going to play through me and I’ll have the ball the majority of the time.” https://t.co/q2BodGjYdA

Ewin, listed at 6-11, 230 pounds, is entering his senior season. Before FSU, Ewin had stops at Ole Miss and South Plains Community College.
Though the Seminoles had a rough 2024-25, Ewin had a standout season. He averaged 14.2 points and 7.6 rebounds per game, notching 9 double-doubles while shooting 59.6%.
Ewin is the second impact big man transfer of the day for Arkansas. The Hogs also added South Carolina transfer Nick Pringle.
