Alabama has won its last 6 games, making the Crimson Tide one of the hottest teams in the SEC. Nate Oats’ team will try to make it 7 straight on Wednesday when it hosts a struggling Mississippi State squad.
Ahead of the conference clash at Coleman Coliseum, ESPN Analytics has weighed in on the game. UA was given an 87.9% win probability to knock off the Bulldogs.
At prediction market Kalshi, where anyone can wager on the game by predicting the outcome, Alabama is also heavily favored. Notably, that’s even with Labaron Philon receiving a questionable designation on Tuesday’s availability report and being described as highly unlikely to play hours before tipoff in Tuscaloosa.
It’s been an up-and-down 2025-26 season for Mississippi State. The Bulldogs enter the game 13-14 overall and 5-9 in SEC play. Chris Jans’ team started conference play, but has gone on losing streaks of 5 and 3 games. MSU lost 97-89 at South Carolina last time out.
Alabama surged in the AP Top 25 to No. 17 after a 2-0 week that extended the winning streak to 6 games since the loss at Florida. The Crimson Tide and Arkansas Razorbacks are both 2 games back of UF, 10-4 in SEC play.
Wednesday’s game will tip at 9 p.m. ET and air on ESPNU.
