The Florida Gators are kings of the college basketball world, beating Houston on Monday night to claim their 3rd national title! That win sent the fans in Gainesville into a wild celebration, storming and crowding the streets in jubilation.

Unfortunately, one fan went a bit too far. In a video obtained by WCJB TV20, one fan was seen atop a traffic light with many fans watching the event unfold in anticipation below.

Things eventually went off the rails when the bold fan decided to stand up on top of the traffic light. For a moment, the fan was okay with their balance, but the individual opted to bounce up and down with the entire apparatus swaying in the night. That led the fan to lose their focus, ultimately tumbling down do the street below.

While the incident left fans in a stunned silence, WCJB TV20 cited a bystander as indicating the fan who fell seemed okay after the event. It is currently unclear if the fan went to the hospital or may be facing any charges from authorities.

As for the basketball program, Florida has broken through in just its 3rd season under head coach Todd Golden. At just 39 years old, Golden could have Florida on the brink of a special run with his first title in hand.
