Xaivian Lee is looking to play college basketball in the 2026-27 season.

Lee has played 4 seasons at the collegiate level at Princeton and Florida. Recent court decisions, however, have opened the door for a potential Year 5. Agents for Lee told Joe Tipton of On3 that Lee will seek to find a new team in the transfer portal.

Lee was one of 73 players involved in a California case seeking 2026-27 eligibility and entry into the NCAA transfer portal.

This past season, Lee started all 38 games for the Florida Gators. In regular-season action, Lee recorded 406 points, 147 assists, 129 rebounds and 57 3-point field goals for the conference champions. After 3 postseason appearances, Lee finished the 2025-26 season averaging 11.1 points, 4.3 assists and 3.9 rebounds over 27.1 minutes per game. Lee shot 40.7% from the field, 27.1% from 3-point range and 76.3% at the free-throw line. He signed an Exhibit-10 contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers after going undrafted.

Lee was the only significant departure from Floridaโ€™s 2025-26 squad. The Gators return Rueben Chinyelu, Alex Condon, Thomas Haugh and Boogie Fland from their starting 5. Denzel Aberdeen, a member of the 2024-25 national championship squad, transferred back to UF after a season at Kentucky. Aberdeen is seeking to play a 5th year and is currently eligible under a Colorado judge’s ruling granting 2026-27 eligibility to Class of 2022 athletes. The NCAA is appealing the judge’s decision.
