Gregory Jackson, also known as “G.G.,” one of the top players in the class of 2023, has narrowed his list to 6 choices.

The 6-foot-9 and 210-pound power forward prospect out of Columbia, S.C. (Ridge View) is the No. 8 player in this class, the No. 1 power forward and the top recruit in the Palmetto State, according to the 247Sports Composite.

Jackson has a reported 15 offers, and has narrowed his choices to Auburn, Duke, Georgetown, South Carolina, North Carolina and the NBA’s G League.

The Gamecocks have ramped up recruiting from the likes of Shane Beamer and Spencer Rattler, The State reported.

Jackson took his official visit to South Carolina on Feb. 19-20, the final of his four visits heโ€™s expected to take as a junior. His visit included attending the LSU game, hanging out with USC players, lunch at Martinโ€™s house and even impromptu recruiting pitches from USC football coach Shane Beamer and quarterback Spencer Rattler.

Rattler talked about that encounter โ€” although he couldnโ€™t mention Jacksonโ€™s name because of NCAA rules โ€” when the QB spoke with reporters Wednesday for the first time since arriving on campus. โ€œI told him, you are from here, you might as well stay home,โ€ Rattler said. โ€œEverybody loves you here and you will make the basketball team better.โ€
