Wednesday night went spectacularly well for John Calipari’s Arkansas Razorbacks. After a lopsided SEC win, though, Calipari knew when to cut his losses in the postgame press conference.
The Hogs defeated South Carolina 108-74 in a blowout. Six Arkansas players were in double-figure scoring for the Razorbacks.
The win gives Arkansas a 13-4 record and 3-1 mark in conference play, part of a 5-way tie for 1st place in the SEC. Arkansas now has SEC wins over Tennessee, Ole Miss and South Carolina. The only SEC blemish on the Razorbacks’ record is the 95-73 loss at Auburn.
On Wednesday night, Calipari wanted to make a point about Auburn. He quickly learned it wasn’t the best night to make that point, as Auburn lost 84-74 at Mizzou.
With the postgame press conference nearing 9 minutes, Calipari humorously decided to end it there before he could say anything else to hurt his case on a big night for the Hogs.

Up next, Calipari’s Razorbacks head to Athens to take on No. 21 Georgia. The Bulldogs are 14-3 overall and 2-2 in SEC play after losing to Ole Miss in overtime on a buzzer-beater.
