Kentucky tabbed as predicted landing spot for elite Big 12 transfer by CBB analyst

Kentucky basketball is trending for one of the best players still available in the transfer portal.
CBS Sports basketball reporter Matt Norlander, while speaking with Gary Parrish on the Eye on College Basketball Podcast Thursday, predicted that Iowa State transfer Milan Momcilovic will commit to Kentucky. Here’s his exact quote, which you can find around the 8:30 mark of the video embedded below:
“My prediction right now is that Milan Momcilovic will go to Kentucky,” Norlander said. “From my understanding, that decision will come in the next 1, 2, 3, or 4 days. I am expecting that when we podcast again on Monday, Momcilovic will have already made his decision.”

That’s not it, though. On3Sports’ Joe Tipton also reported Thursday that Kentucky is a name to watch for Momcilovic.
Obviously, no commitment has been made as of Thursday afternoon, but this would be a simply massive addition for the Wildcats if Mark Pope was able to get Momcilovic to Lexington.
The Iowa State forward is an NBA-level shooter, having splashed 136 of his 280 3-point attempts last season — nearly 50% of his attempts at volume. He’s also a plus defender with size at the 3-spot and a 55% shooter within the 3-point arc, boasting an 87% stroke from the charity stripe.
Momcilovic’s addition would also give the Wildcats a lot of positional size. Zoom Diallo and Alex Wilkins are both good facilitators standing 6-foot-4 and 6-foot-5. Momcilovic at 6-foot-8 alongside Ousmane N’Diaye (6-foot-11) and Malachi Moreno (7-foot) is a solid hypothetical starting 5 with Kam Williams (6-foot-6) off the bench.
