That’s more like it, Nate Ament.

Before his strong performance in last night’s 110-91 win over the Charlotte Hornets, the former Vols lottery pick was having a rough go at things in the NBA Summer League.

Ament didn’t play in the California Classic as his trade to Milwaukee had not yet been made official, and he scored just 6 points when he finally made his debut against the Heat last week. He failed to eclipse 10 points in both following games against the Spurs and Suns, too.

Wednesday night was different, though. Ament was more assertive and got to his spots on the floor, leading to a 23-point flurry with a team-high 6 rebounds and a pair of steals on 7-of-13 shooting.

Ament was scoring at all levels. He drained a pair of 3-pointers, hit a few tough midrange shots and bullied his way to the rim for a couple contested layups. Check out some highlights below from Ament’s best game of Summer League thus far:

Ament isn’t the only former Tennessee basketball player seeing success in the Summer League. Ja’Kobi Gillespie posted another strong outing Wednesday night against the Utah Jazz, leading the Spurs with 25 points, 5 assists and a pair of steals.
