The Alabama basketball program has had to weather some major hurdles this season, and injuries in particular have been a unfortunate theme for the Crimson Tide over the first few weeks of SEC play.
Junior guard Aden Holloway and freshman forward Amari Allen in particular have both missed time recently for head coach Naye Oats, and there absence was felt this past weekend as the Tide fell to the Tennessee Volunteers 79-73.
However, coach Nate Oats gave a promising update on Holloway during his appearance on ‘Hey Coach’ on Monday night.
Also of note is the official availability report the Tide put out on Monday evening, which listed Allen as doubtful but made no mention of Holloway, suggesting they expect him to play against the Tigers.
Holloway is Alabama’s second-leading scorer on the season averaging 17.7 points a game so getting him back will serve as a massive boost for the Tide as they look to bounce back against a formidable Mizzou side.
