Oklahoma made an impact addition in the transfer portal on Wednesday afternoon.
According to On3’s Joe Tipton, the Sooners have landed a commitment from ex-Villanova big man Duke Brennan. The former Wildcat is an excellent rebounder and likely would slot in as OU’s starting center for the 2026-27 season.
This marks the second late addition Oklahoma has made this month in the wake of class of 2022 athletes being ruled eligible for the upcoming season. The Sooners also recently picked up a commitment from former SMU guard BJ Edwards.

Last season at Villanova, Brennan averaged 12.4 points and 10.3 rebounds per game while starting 32 contests for the Wildcats. He was also a solid distributor for a big, averaging 2 assists per night.
Oklahoma narrowly missed out on the NCAA Tournament this past spring, but will be looking to get back to the Big Dance next March. Porter Moser is set to return for his 6th season at the helm.
OU has won at least 20 games in all but 1 of Moser’s seasons, but has only made the NCAA Tournament once. Oklahoma has frequently been among the first teams left out of the 68-team bracket but will be expecting to make a jump this season.
The Sooners’ roster also includes returning starters such as Xzayvier Brown and Derrion Reid as well as an exciting high school class that features forward Gage Mayfield and guard Quincy Wadley. OU also previously signed Pop Isaacs, Khani Rooths and Tyler Hendricks out of the transfer portal.
