Saturday’s weather will be chaotic to say the least around the country as a massive winter storm is set to affect over half the country, and that storm is also wreaking havoc on the college basketball slate that’s on tap.
The approaching storm is causing ESPN as well as various conferences to make some scheduling changes to their basketball games. The SEC is right in the middle of all these changes on a key college basketball Saturday in late January.
The following alterations to the SEC basketball slate are subject to change, depending on the impact of the winter storm.
For now, the list of changes among SEC games is headlined by No. 15 Vanderbilt‘s matchup at Mississippi State. That showdown has been moved up from 6 p.m. ET on SEC Network to noon on SECN+.
Meanwhile, at venerable Rupp Arena in Lexington, Kentucky‘s matchup against Ole Miss has also been moved up from noon ET to 11 a.m. on ESPN.
Finally, South Carolina‘s road showdown against Texas A&M has been affected by the storm. Instead of the game in College Station starting at 3:30 p.m. ET on SEC Network, it will instead tip off at 1 p.m. on SECN+.
Those are just the changes among SEC men’s basketball games on Saturday, with a plethora of other key games involving ranked teams set to be affected as well.
