The SEC is out with its latest Players of the Week from men’s basketball, and they each had a scoring bonanza in the last week.

Guard Tyrece Radford of Texas A&M, and South Carolina forward Collin Murray-Boyles were honored by the league.

Radford averaged 24.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists in wins at Missouri and against No. 6 Tennessee. He hit 53.1% (17-of-32) of his shots and made 80% (12-of-15) of his shots from the foul line. Against Tennessee, Radford had 27 points on 9-of-17 shooting along with 5 rebounds and 5 assists.

Murray-Boyles averaged 23.5 points, 8 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks in wins over Ole Miss and Vanderbilt. He shot 78.6% from the floor in the 2 games. Against Vandy, he produced a career-high 31 points on 14-of-17 (82.4 percent) shooting to go with 7 rebounds, 2 assists, a steal and a block.

That was just the 3rd 30-point game by a Gamecock freshman since joining the SEC in 1991-92. What’s more, Murray-Boyles became just the third Gamecock the last 25 seasons to record 30 points on 80% or better shooting in an SEC game. He’s the first SEC freshman since Arkansas’ Bobby Portis in 2014 to score 30 or more points with 13 or more made field goals while shooting above 80%.
