Class of 2027 point guard Chase Richardson, one of the top prospects out of the Lone Star State in the Class of 2027, announced on Sunday that he’s cut his college list down to just 5: Nebraska, Notre Dame, Purdue, Virginia and Texas A&M.

Richardson is a 4-star prospect who hails from Friendswood, Texas, which is located about 75 miles southeast of College Station between Houston and Galveston. The 6-foot-1 point guard recently took an official visit to College Station on April 10. He later visited Nebraska (April 12) and Purdue (April 17).

McMillan and Texas A&M (like many other college programs) have yet to claim a commitment in the Class of 2027, but Richardson is definitely a top target for the Aggies. Richardson is considered to be the No. 72 overall prospect in the Class of 2027, as well as the No. 17 PG and No. 4 prospect out of the state of Texas.

Texas A&M basketball had a solid first season under McMillan, who will bring a new roster to the court in 2026. The Aggies have already added commitments from former Tennessee F Cade Phillips, former Radford guard Lukas Walls and former Kansas State guard PJ Haggerty.
