Xavier transfer wing commits to Texas, following Sean Miller to Austin

New Texas coach Sean Miller is bringing a familiar face to Austin.
Per ESPN’s Jonathan Givony, Xavier transfer Dailyn Swain has committed to continue playing for Miller and join the Longhorns.

Swain follows Miller to Austin after 2 seasons at Xavier.
As a freshman, Swain was primarily a reserve. He appeared in 29 games, making 3 starts. In the 2023-24 campaign, he averaged 4.6 points per game over 19 minutes.
Swain saw his role grow substantially in his sophomore season. In the 2024-25 campaign, Swain played in 34 games, starting 33 times. He averaged 11 points per game over 28.4 minutes per contest. Swain’s averages included 5.5 rebounds and 2.6 assists per outing.
Swain gives Miller and the Longhorns some intriguing versatility, measuring 6-8 and 220 pounds. He logged 186 rebounds and 89 assists over the Xavier’s 2024-25 campaign, which concluded with a first-round loss to Illinois. Swain was a top performer against the Illini, scoring 27 points and grabbing 8 rebounds.
