25-player SEC Media Days poll reveals toughest road venue in the conference

The SEC is known for hosting some of the best environments not just in college football, but in sports. SEC palaces are Grand, some packed with a capacity of over 100,000 seats, filled by some of the most passionate fans in America.
AL.com polled 25 SEC football players this past week at SEC Media Days, asking them each to name the toughest SEC stadium to play in — of course, without picking their home stadium.
According to Nick Kelly of AL.com, Tennessee‘s Neyland Stadium takes the cake. The sixth-largest stadium in the country by capacity, Neyland Stadium is the third largest in the SEC. Its architectural design and screaming loud fans have haunted opposing offenses for decades and decades, so this should come as little surprise.
Just after Neyland Stadium, SEC players voted Texas A&M‘s Kyle Field and Florida‘s Ben Hill Griffin Stadium as tied for second place. Auburn‘s Jordan-Hare Stadium comes in 4th. You can find the rest of AL.com’s player survey here.
Tennessee is 29-7 at Neyland Stadium under Josh Heupel, and 3 of those 7 losses took place in 2021, Heupel’s first season in Knoxville. Three more of those losses took place last year, as the Vols and Heupel struggled to take advantage of facing strong teams such as Georgia and Oklahoma at home.
This season, Tennessee is set to face Furman, Kennesaw State, Texas, Alabama, Kentucky and LSU at Neyland Stadium.
