After receiving 28 scholarship offers, Ocean Lakes (Virginia Beach) standout has narrowed his recruitment down to 6 teams with a pair of SEC programs making the cut.

4-star defensive end Naquan Brown shared a video revealing that he’s down to LSU, Tennessee, Miami, Penn State, Pittsburgh and Virginia Tech. On the 247Sports Composite, Brown is rated the No. 11 weak-side defensive end and No. 201 prospect overall nationally in the class of 2021.

Brown impressed 247Sports National Recruiting Analyst Brian Dohn during the 2018 season:

Long athlete with good shoulder width. … Offers position flexibility as defensive end or outside linebacker. Plus athleticism. Very good burst at snap. Plays fast and is fearless. Willing to sacrifice body to make play. Possesses flexibility to dip shoulder and accelerate around edge. Changes direction well. Athleticism to drop into coverage. Addition of strength and body mass important. Has to improve technique and use of hands. Must work to be more effective on running plays directed at him. Multi-year starter at Top 20 program. Projects to be a second-day NFL draft pick.

In January, Brown took part in the National Combine. He checked in at over 6-1 and weighed 197 pounds. He logged a 40 time of 5.18 seconds, 4.35-second shuttle and 7.89-second L-cone drill. His posted measurements note an 80-inch wingspan.
