The 2020 NBA Draft is still a few months away, but with the COVID-19 outbreak canceling a number of pre-draft evaluation opportunities, it’ll be tough for teams to scout top prospects.
Recently, Bleacher Report expert Jonathan Wasserman updated his first-round mock draft, and as you can see, he included 5 SEC stars.
And, interestingly, all 5 of them are projected to be taken in the first half of the first round:
- No. 1 — Anthony Edwards, G, Georgia — Golden State Warriors
- No. 9 — Isaac Okoro, F, Auburn — Washington Wizards
- No. 12 — Tyrese Maxey, G, Kentucky — Sacramento Kings
- No. 13 — Aaron Nesmith, F, Vanderbilt — New Orleans Saints
- No. 15 — Kira Lewis Jr., G, Alabama — Orlando Magic
There’s still time for things to change and workouts to be rescheduled, but for now, this is a good look at how things stand.
