The NBA recently announced its scouting combine would be moved back, along with the NBA lottery event. That could mean the draft, originally scheduled for June, could be pushed back as well.
But, recently, the deadline for underclassmen to declare for the draft passed, and that means another round of NBA Mock Drafts is coming out.
On Friday, CBS Sports analyst Kyle Boone released his latest first-round projections and as you can see below, he had 5 SEC stars going in the first 30 picks:
- No. 2 — Anthony Edwards, G, Georgia — Cleveland Cavaliers
- No. 5 — Isaac Okoro, F, Auburn — Atlanta Hawks
- No. 10 — Tyrese Maxey, G, Kentucky — Phoenix Suns
- No. 11 — Aaron Nesmith, F, Vanderbilt — San Antonio Spurs
- No. 20 — Kira Lewis Jr., G, Alabama — Milwaukee Bucks
Again, this could change depending on what the schedule becomes for the combine and draft, but for now, it’s a good look at where things stand for the SEC’s top prospects.
