5-star freshman DL Jordan Burch reveals which jersey number he’ll wear at South Carolina

Former South Carolina DL Javon Kinlaw wore the No. 3 jersey proudly for the Gamecocks, and he just became a first-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.
The rookie for the San Francisco 49ers will leave his college number in good hands, though, it appears.
As you can see below, incoming 5-star freshman DL Jordan Burch took to Snapchat on Saturday to reveal that he’d be donning the No. 3 jersey in 2020 and beyond:

Having such a big guy (Burch is 6-5 and 275 pounds) in a single-digit jersey number certainly looks intimidating. Many are fans of lineman in single digits:

Can Burch live up to Kinlaw’s legacy? We’ll find out starting this fall.
Per the 247Sports composite rankings, Burch was the No. 8 overall player in the 2020 class, the No. 2 defensive tackle and the No. 1 overall recruit from the state of South Carolina.
