One of LSU‘s top commitments in the class of 2027 may be looking elsewhere.
Jaiden Bryant, a 5-star edge who has been committed to LSU since January, has announced plans to take an official visit to South Carolina this coming weekend.

This is shaping up to be one of the most important SEC recruitments of the 2027 cycle. Bryant is regarded as an elite high school recruit and will be highly-sought after until he officially signs with a program.
He’s currently ranked as the No. 20 overall player and the No. 2 edge rusher in the nation for the class of 2027, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
Bryant is a South Carolina native. He attends Irmo High School in Columbia, so he won’t have to go far for his official visit this weekend. He’s also ranked as the No. 1 player from the state of South Carolina in this cycle.
South Carolina currently has 9 commits in the class of 2027. If the Gamecocks are able to flip Bryant, he would become the highest-rated prospect in their recruiting class.
