80-yard field goal? Former Florida K Eddy Pineiro says he’s up for the challenge

Former Florida K Eddy Pineiro is one of the top kickers in this year’s NFL Draft class, having left the Gators a year early.
Drafting kickers is always tricky, so it’s uncertain how high he’ll go, but he will likely hear his name called at some point during the three-day event.
On Friday, at the NFL Combine, Pineiro said he thinks he can make an 80-yard field goal if given the chance:

Obviously, that’s a bold claim from Pineiro, and one that he’ll likely never have a chance to prove one way or another at the NFL level.
It wouldn’t be a surprise to see him making 80-yard kicks in practice, but doing it in a pressure-packed game situation is a different matter entirely.
