Former Oklahoma running back and NFL legend Adrian Peterson was recently involved in a fistfight over a poker game.

TMZ published video of the incident on Thursday. Per their reporting, Peterson and a friend exchanged blows back on May 27 at a social club in Houston called JokerStars.

Here’s video from TMZ:

According to TMZ, Peterson and the other man involved in the scuffle have since made up. The outlet says it spoke with the former Oklahoma running back on Thursday morning.

“Me and the guy, we’re cool,” Peterson told TMZ. “We’ve known each other. It was literally like a brother situation. We agreed to disagree, we had our words, and we threw blows — and that was it.”

“I felt really bad,” Peterson added. “It’s a situation where I kind of regret it.”

TMZ says police were not called to investigate and JokerStars didn’t levy punishment for either party as a result of the incident.

Peterson last played in the NFL in 2021. The former Sooner has been an active poker player in retirement and also, ironically, has participated in boxing events since the end of his playing career.
