Turner was on his second stint with the Bulldogs, which began in 2013. He was with Mississippi State from 2007-09 before accepting a role at Kentucky.
He will replace former Aggies DL coach Mark Hagen left the program following the 2015 season and is now coaching the defensive line at Indiana.
Turner will get the opportunity to work with one of the most talented defensive lines in the nation, which includes future first-round pick Myles Garrett.
As for Mississippi State, Turner’s departure means yet another assistant coach search on the defensive side of the ball for Bulldogs coach Dan Mullen.
Turner's departure means MSU will have an entirely new defensive staff in 2016.
